We took stock of a beautiful new book this week which we thought deserved a special mention. It's been printed in a limited edition of 500 copies, with a screen printed cover, so it probably won't be around for long.

The book was printed for the exhibition 'beeld.merk', in which the artist Elke Van Kerckvoorde explored her interest in the relationship between graphic design and painting by creating 134 different emblems, starting from one basic shape and eight effects. The resulting logos were then applied to cardboard packaging, forming eight panels with a 3D interpretation of the packaging on each, suggesting the shape of the box.

This limited edition book contains all of the logos created for the exhibition, as well as the artwork for the panels and the artist's sketches.
